Historical background

The Millioniser was a hybrid instrument developed in the 1980s, a mixture of harmonica and synthesizer. It was intended to open up new sonic worlds and found some experimental applications, particularly in Germany. In collaboration with Faceless Society, it formed the basis of the extraordinary project X-mas + You, which reinterpreted classic Christmas carols in electronic form. The album is an interesting historical document of the early electronic music era.
