This vintage LP, "The Rattles!", is by the legendary Hamburg beat band The Rattles and was released as a licensed pressing on the Polish label Muza . The band, considered the "German Beatles" in the 1960s, achieved their breakthrough with hits like "The Witch" , "Come On and Sing", and "La La La" .
This Polish pressing captures the sound of the late 60s to early 70s – energetic beat-rock with a charming retro touch.
Historical background:
The Rattles were founded in Hamburg in 1960 and were directly connected to the burgeoning St. Pauli beat scene, where the Beatles also launched their careers. The group was one of the first German bands to achieve international chart success.
The Polish Muza pressing represents an exciting piece of music history of the Eastern Bloc: Officially licensed and released via the state label Polskie Nagrania Muza, it offered fans behind the Iron Curtain access to West German rock music.
