Historical background

Tangerine Dream , founded in Berlin in 1967 by Edgar Froese, is considered one of the most important groups of the electronic avant-garde. Their style – characterized by analog synthesizers, sequencers and atmospheric soundscapes – influenced artists from Jean-Michel Jarre to Aphex Twin.
This edition was likely produced in the early 1980s by members of the Tangerine Dream Fan Club Berlin , licensed by Zomba Productions Ltd. in London. The pressing was strictly limited, with the first 50 copies on colored vinyl – this is copy number 185 on classic black vinyl.
