José Feliciano ( born 1945 in Lares, Puerto Rico ) became one of the first internationally successful Latin American artists in the 1960s. With his virtuoso guitar playing and unique voice, he achieved his breakthrough with the Doors cover " Light My Fire" and the classic " Feliz Navidad ." The AMIGA LP was released in 1979 in East Germany as a licensed selection of his original Western recordings – and remains a sought-after collector's item for lovers of international music history.
