Authentic Amiga licensed pressing of British singer Joe Cocker's music, released in 1981 in East Germany. This compilation presents a selection of his greatest hits from the 1970s and offers the unmistakable, raw soul-rock sound that made Joe Cocker internationally famous.

Historical background

Joe Cocker (1944–2014) was one of the most distinctive voices in British blues and soul rock. After his breakthrough with the Beatles cover version "With a Little Help from My Friends" at the Woodstock Festival in 1969, he established himself as a charismatic live performer.
This Amiga edition was created at a time when Western music in East Germany was only available in strictly limited licensed editions – accordingly, these pressings are highly sought after by collectors today.
