Jimi Tenor's 12" single "Take Me Baby" was released in 1994 on the Finnish label Sähkö Recordings and quickly became a cult classic in the European club scene. Featuring multiple mixes on both sides, the release showcases a fascinating range of electronic expression – from stripped-down house structures to experimental sounds. The minimalist black-and-white artwork underscores the minimalist approach for which the label became known in the 90s. An authentic piece of club history and a sought-after collector's item for vinyl enthusiasts.

Historical background

Jimi Tenor (born Lassi Lehto in 1965 in Lahti, Finland ) is a genre-crossing musician who has been considered a boundary-crosser between electronic music, jazz, funk, and the avant-garde since the early 1990s. Following his initial releases on Sähkö Recordings, his distinctive style quickly garnered international attention. Later albums were released on labels including the renowned Warp Records . "Take Me Baby" is one of his best-known tracks and a prime example of the fusion of club aesthetics, experimentalism, and cool Nordic minimalism.
