Original infrared heat lamp from the 1950s/60s with chrome-plated reflector and black Bakelite handle.
The lamp is equipped with a classic red light bulb and was originally intended for heat therapy and medical purposes in the home.
An extraordinary piece of retro technology that is suitable today both as a decorative object and as a collector's item.

Historical background

Red light lamps became popular in homes and doctors' offices from the 1930s onwards, especially for heat applications in cases of tension, colds or muscle pain.
Models from the 1950s/60s are characterized by high-quality materials such as chrome, Bakelite and durable mechanics.
Today they are primarily valued as nostalgic collector's items and decorative objects.
