Historical background
Feargal Sharkey ( born 1958 in Northern Ireland ) first rose to fame as the singer of the punk/new wave band The Undertones , with classics like "Teenage Kicks." He launched his solo career in the mid-1980s, with "A Good Heart" becoming his biggest hit – the song reached number one in several European countries.
