Bob Long was a fixture of the California boogie and blues scene in the late 1970s and 1980s. With his characteristic "Red Hot Piano" style, he stood in the tradition of Jerry Lee Lewis and Fats Domino , but with a modern West Coast touch. The band combined rock and roll, jazz, and swing into a vibrant sound that caused a sensation, especially live.
