Historical background

Black Sabbath , founded in Birmingham in 1968, are considered pioneers of heavy metal. With Tony Iommi's unmistakable riffs, Geezer Butler's dark bass, and Ozzy Osbourne's distinctive voice, the band defined the sound of an entire generation.
The compilation was released exclusively in Germany in Fontana's popular Attention! series and was sold at the time as a budget-friendly alternative to the regular albums – today it is a sought-after collector's item with authentic 70s design and an early band photo.
