Historical background

Achim Reichel (Hamburg) became known in the 60s as a co-founder of the Rattles , experimented with Krautrock/Echo sounds in the 70s as AR & Machines , and established a successful German-language solo career in the 80s. For Blues in Blond, he worked closely with the writer Jörg Fauser – the combination of literary texts and Reichel's edgy songwriting gives the album a special tone somewhere between urban poetry and down-to-earth blues rock.
