Authentic original pressing from 1977 on Chiswick Records (WIK 2) – the legendary debut album by Motörhead , which laid the foundation for their unmistakable sound of hard rock, punk, and proto-metal. The album combines raw energy, uncompromising riffs, and Lemmy's distinctive voice into a sound that would later influence generations of rock and metal bands.
The vinyl is in very good condition (VG+ to NM−) – glossy surface, minimal hairlines, no deep scratches.
The cover shows clear signs of wear (VG) : edge scuffing, small creases and slight wear on the back, but sturdy and without tears. Inner sleeve with band photo and liner notes is included.
A rare piece of music history – ideal for collectors of classic rock and metal first pressings.
Historical background
Motörhead were formed in 1975 by Lemmy Kilmister after he left Hawkwind. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1977 on Chiswick Records and spawned hits such as "Motorhead" and "White Line Fever".
Their uncompromising sound, somewhere between punk and heavy metal, made Motörhead a cult band and significantly shaped the genre that later became known as "speed metal".
